Love Mediterranean food. Mujaddhara, Baba ghanoush, the list can go on and on and on 🙂
One of my Arab students gave me her grandmother’s roasted cumin hummus recipe (to be posted soon). I removed cumin and added nutritional yeast to it and made it cheezy –My Cheezy Hummus– Yummy on Cucumber- This is my signature dish 🙂 Everyone loves it. If I were to bring something to a potluck/barbie, my friends would just be like ‘We need the cucumber canapes’. Best appetizers EVER 🙂
You need:
- Cucumber-1 lebanese (sliced as 10 sections)
- Hummus-1/2 cup
- Raisins-around 20 (2 per slice)
- Almond flakes-10
- Coconut oil-1 tsp
- Ground Chili/Cayenne Pepper/Paprika-for sprinkling over the top
Method:
- In a small pan, melt coconut oil, throw raisins in, wait for them to puff up and transfer to a plate

Hey Charanya, I am a huge homous fan and always interested to see different versions, adding nutritional yeast sounds interesting? And I like it on the cucumber slices too ☺️ Thank you for bringing them to Angie’s party, I think you will have to make some more now….
Me too. Love experimenting with hummus 🙂 Sure thing 😛
What a creative way to serve up hummus. Thank for for sharing your signature dish with us.

Hi Charanya,
I often use Hummus along as a dip for my salad. I love your idea of piping it onto cucumbers. I could do this with other salad veggies to make them seem infinitely more appetizing!
So true.Only time my husband eats hummus 😛
