I have been experimenting with chocolate all my life. Failed pretty much until this Easter Sunday. Now before me, I have this awesome, 3 ingredients-Raw, healthy, sugar-free, soy-free, nut-free (I’m sure Coconut is not allergic-Let me know if I’m wrong), gluten-free and Vegan 🙂 What a better way to celebrate a kind love-filled Easter.
Thanks to two awesome fellow bloggers for inspirations. Raw chocolate inspired from Apsara and Chocolate bark from Omar. And it created magic. My coconut hating, dearest husband said this is the richest chocolate he has ever had.
This could be made in 30 minutes, however I recommend you make it overnight. Also, this would taste excellent in hot cocoa. Just add this to hot milk, you are all done then 🙂 Now back to this awesome recipe.The base requires 3 ingredients and toppings, I have used couple here.
You need:
- Raw Fair Trade Cacao powder-2 tbsp
- Raw Agave nectar-1.5 Tbsp(for super dark)/2 Tbsp(for sweeter)
- Coconut oil-1 level Tbsp
- Shredded Coconut, Pepita seeds-for toppings(a Tbsp each)
Method:
- In a bowl, whisk together cacao, agave and coconut oil until it forms a ganache-like consistency
- Pour this over a tray -double-lined with parchment paper. Add toppings and shake it up a bit
- Freeze it overnight. Break into bits and enjoy.
Notes:
- Coconut oil melts pretty fast, so you gotta make sure you will consume them within 10 minutes {Hey! Something is better than nothing}
wow luscious chocolate bars… feel like grabbing one right now…
Thanks Chits <3
Yum! The toppings look like an excellent addition. Thanks for the ping-back.
Some children are allergic to coconut, I recently met one. Strange, but true! 🙂
